These policies are put into place for a number of reasons. First and foremost, they are meant to keep everyone safe.​

 

Great Raven Ren Faire also referred to as GRRF reserves the right to refuse or remove anyone from the event if they feel necessary for the safety of the event.

First and foremost, this event is open to all without regard race, color, national origin, gender identity, religion, age, height, weight, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, or veteran status. As with our other events, vendors, entertainers, attendees or volunteers that don't mesh with the good vibes of this event will be removed and not invited back. We need to all breathe and chill especially on setup day, nothing is an emergency that we can't handle, no reason to get all wound up. We will not tolerate hate, drama, bullying, discrimination of any kind. Everyone agrees to this statement once they enter the event.

EVENT POLICIES

  • This event is held rain or shine.

  • The GRRF is not responsible for lost or stolen items, please keep valuable items safe.

  • We will have ATMs on site.

  • While we do make an effort to make travel within the festival easier, please note that you are outdoors in mud, sticks, plants, bugs and more. This event is in the woods and there is only so much we can do at the site.

  • Guests are not permitted to bring in musical instruments.

  • You do not need to dress up to attend.

  • If you get anxiety attending these types of events because you don't want to be called up on stage or don't really want to interact with performers, you can get a yellow wrist band at either entry point. Wear this wrist band and keep it visible and performers will leave you alone.

  • At this time - pets are not allowed on the festival grounds - per insurance.

  • GRRF reserves the right to deny or remove anyone for being intoxicated.

  • Please be careful of how much drink you consume.

  • Alcohol IS NOT allowed to leave the designated areas.

  • Absolutely no outside alcohol is permitted.

  • No one under 21 may consume or poses alcohol during the event.

  • Valid ID must be presented with all purchases. No exceptions.

  • People 21 years of age or older may smoke cigarettes within the designated smoking areas.

  • Smoking is not permitted outside these areas.

  • No marijuana use during the event, in designated areas, even if you are 21 and older - per insurance.

  • All weapons needs to be peace tied at all times.

  • No guns will be allowed, even if they are fake.

  • Nothing resembling a fire-arm will be permitted.​​​​

  • Lord & Ladies, Highlanders and Lowlanders, Pirates, Wenches, Faires and Fools, even Vikings are all welcome. Please no garb or costumes outside the general ren theme. (example, no star wars, military, furry or cosplay unrelated to renaissance eras will be permitted.)​​

  • This is a family event, please make sure you're not showing too much. No bathing suits or bikini tops.

  • Please nothing offensive, violent, or inappropriate.

  • No booty shorts or anything cut too high.​

  • Some sort of footwear must be on while traveling. You can be barefoot in your own booths/tents.​

  • Real swords, axes and daggers must be tie-wrapped in their sheath at all times.

  • Bows are allowed but cannot be strung.​

  • General rule of thumb, weapons shall not look like they can cause real harm.

  • Fake props are ok.
